I was notified of Tony Bevan's work by my tutor during one of my tutorials, as she saw a resemblance between my style of work and Bevan's charcoal pieces, I particularly enjoy using bold black and white tones in my pieces, as the contrast between the two tones works well for the themes I am trying to portray.
Incorporating different materials into one piece is something that can produce visually interesting works of art, and is something I would like to incorporate further within my own practice. The use of realistic figures in his pieces is also something I can learn from to further develop my own work.
